LFCSA FUNDRAISING

Los Feliz Charter for the Arts has already earned a reputation as a stellar example of what charter schools can be. We serve an ethnically, socially, economically and linguistically diverse community. We believe that all children can learn and be successful, and that the arts are central to a child's healthy development. LFCSA has already been approached to be a model for arts-enriched schools nationwide because of our exemplary project-based, arts-integrated curriculum.

Unfortunately, our excellence does not guarantee survival. We cannot rely on state funds alone. Los Feliz Charter, like all charter schools in California, receives almost 30% less funding than an average district school. This is why our success depends on the dedication of our school's families and generous outside donations. Our Fundraising Committee produces several key events per year to build relationships within the community, share our vision with those outside our school, and of course, to raise money. Other means of passive fundraising include script and local business participation.

Please join us in this unique opportunity to contribute, make a difference and get the word out-creative public education works!

Los Feliz Charter School for the Arts Capital Campaign

The Wait Is Over!

After a diligent effort by our site committee, we are delighted to announce that we are moving to a permanent home! Located in Los Feliz, our new site will provide us with a central location, outdoor space, and room to grow. To transform this new site into a welcoming home for our children, our school community has embarked on a Capital Campaign to raise the necessary funds.

Our families' dedication to Los Feliz Charter for the Arts is evident in their enthusiasm with which they've embraced the Capital Campaign. Each student's family has committed to raise $2600 toward the school's goal. This will be easier for some than it is for others. We need your help to fulfill our objective.

Your support will guarantee that the lives of all our students will be enriched by an outstanding LFCSA education. You will be contributing to our school, and also to a movement in education — in Los Angeles and nationwide. This movement holds the belief that all children can learn and be successful, and that the arts are central to a child's healthy development. Our school is important to this movement because we can and will provide powerful evidence that our model of teaching and learning really works. LFCSA has already been approached to be a model for arts-integrated curriculums across the nation.

We are asking you to make your mark on education by giving now to the LFCSA Capital Campaign.

Each donation counts and makes a difference. Please do not underestimate the power of your contribution! Give for a beloved student and one you haven't met! Give for education! Give for the future!
